Description
Mogollon is the work of winemaker Santiago Reta, from Finca la Escarcha in Valle de Uco. Santiago believes that power is a consistent, driving force in Mendoza, so he always aims to incorporate balance and finesse in his wines. Originating at base of the Andes mountains, where Malbec reigns supreme, Mogollon is selected from characteristically diverse, sustainably-farmed vineyards. The fruit is instrumental in defining the blend; joining complimentary components with the goal of expressing more thoughtful and complex finished wines. A common theme of short macerations and the use of neutral oak provide the perfect backdrop for showcasing the vineyard and fruit strength. Offers aromas of muddled black and red cherry with deeper underlining nuances of ripe plum. Holds pleasing freshness and mineral contributions through the finish.
