The Saar region of the Mosel River Valley produces Riesling like no other.
Barrel 7 is Peter Lauer’s elegant late harvest Sptlese. If the Kabinett reflects the character of ripe grapes, he selects overripe, golden-yellow fruit, just before they start to dry up, for the Sptlese. This gives the wine exotic notes. Passion fruit and oranges on the nose are characteristic of this Saar classic.
